1979 Y84 Special Edition LS Engine Swap

Originally an Oldsmobile 403 powerplant that needed to rebuilt. Car was a full nut and bolt restoration by another shop. Our tasks were the mechanicals and electricals. Some highlights include:

Fabricating all transmission and fuel lines in stainless steel

Aluminum LS swap radiator with twin Delta PAG fans w/ custom shroud. Fans controlled by the engine ECU

Extensive rewiring to integrate the body and the new engine/ transmission.

Fuel tank with in-tank pump

Pro Touring Body Solid body mounts, Subframe Connectors, upper control arms and springs

Custom bent exhaust system

Factory gauges redone with LED lighting and functional Check Engine Light

Underside undercoated and interior sprayed with Lizard Skin heat and sound deadener

Car came in as a roller and left driving. Can’t wait to see this one back after the other shop is finished with the body and interior.
